What they built
Ava designed and coded a patent-pending AI-powered computer program that rapidly recognizes hematological diseases — including malaria — by analyzing blood sample imagery. Built initially as a self-initiated science fair project inspired by her aunt's leukemia misdiagnosis, she founded Clinivue LLC to bring the technology to market. The portable diagnostic tool is specifically designed for low-resource settings in developing countries where trained medical personnel are scarce. She earned a $50,000 Innovate ND grant to continue development.
