What they built
Carla McDonnell invented Vax Chill, a compact portable cooling system designed to keep livestock vaccines at the correct temperature on farms. Growing up on a farm in Co. Louth, she witnessed firsthand the costly problem of vaccine spoilage due to temperature fluctuations. Her device reduces wastage of expensive, temperature-sensitive doses and helps rural farmers protect their livestock more effectively.
