What they built
Built AceIt, a free AI-powered SAT prep app that adapts in real time to each student's strengths and weaknesses, delivering personalized practice questions to maximize score growth. MacDonald created the app to dismantle the cost barrier of SAT tutoring — sessions that often run thousands of dollars — making high-quality prep accessible to any student. He taught himself to code at age nine and launched AceIt in November 2025 while a 10th grader at Patel High School in Tampa. By April 2026 the app had surpassed 10,000 users, earned over 100 five-star reviews, and reports average score improvements of 150+ points.

- Profile loads (marketing landing page) but contains no founder/team portrait and no extractable og:image/twitter:image portrait metadata. High-priority Fox13 story https://www.fox13news.com/news/tampa-10th-grader-creates-ai-powered-sat-prep-app-help-students-who-can-afford-tutors is readable and confirms identity, but extracted content did not expose any stable direct image URL (no og:image/twitter:image/img/srcset in tool output). Per rules, leaving PictureURL unchanged; manual next step is to open the Fox13 page/video and copy the on-screen image/headshot address if present. [PictureURL Finder] Note (2026-04-26): Re-checked Fox13 page; tool extraction still did not expose any stable direct portrait image URL (no og:image/twitter:image/src/srcset surfaced). (source)
