What they built

Co-invented Thermavault, the world's first electricity-free portable refrigeration unit using a salt-based chemical reaction to keep medical supplies cold for up to 12 hours — designed to solve the last-mile vaccine and medicine cold-chain problem in areas without reliable power. Inspired by challenges in delivering vaccines to rural areas, the team built working prototypes and won global recognition.
